Worlds In MotionThe Worlds in Motion Summit is a definitive event tailored for the growing number of industry professionals and Fortune 500 companies developing interactive online spaces for both entertainment and commercial purposes. Raph Koster is the president of Areae, Inc., a developer of virtual worlds, and the author of the widely acclaimed book A Theory of Fun for Game Design (Paraglyph 2004). He previously worked as chief creative officer at Sony Online Entertainment, creative director for Star Wars Galaxies, and lead designer of Ultima Online and UO: The Second Age. He also maintains a popular website at http://www.raphkoster.com which houses notable writings such as the Online World Timeline and the Laws of Online World Design.

Simon Carless is the Chairman of the Independent Games Festival and Editorial Director of the Think Services Game Group, overseeing both Game Developer magazine and Gamasutra.com. He has previously worked as a writer/editor for tech site Slashdot, and as a game designer for companies such as Eidos Interactive and Atari.
